Aliket was born in the Bay Area of central California and given the name Alice Anne Ketman.
Just before her 5th birthday her family moved to Shasta County in northern California.
Finishishing high school a year early Alice attending collage for a year before spend two years
touring the U.S. as an actress/singer with a repertory theater company call the Covenants Players.
During her early college and theater years she became know as "Alison Lee" Ketman.
She quite touring to returning home to help care of her ailing mother and to return to college.
After her mother's passing, she continued college obtaining a AA Degree in Social Science.
Followed by spending sometime in the Air Force, until being discharged early due to a knee injury.
Returning home she started taking pictures while working as a
Sports Editor for her hometown's weekly newspaper. During this time she also served as
a Public Relations Intern for the local public school district and did some
freelance photography work before moving to San Jose, California.
Working as a Freelance Photojournalist, did not always pay the bills.
So over the years she also held a variety of other jobs ranging from;
Work for preschools, elementary and high schools as a teacher's aid or teacher,
to working as a security specialist and/or training officer for Memorex
and other electronics and computer companies in the Silicon Valley of California.
While in the Santa Clara Co. area, she also worked as a sales person and assistant manager
for a small chain of retail camera stores.
In 1983's, she married and they moved from the South Bay
to the Sierra Nevada Mountains of central California near Yosemite National Park.
When her husband joined a local Volunteer Fire Department
she naturally started taking pictures of local fires.
Which lead to taking pictures through out California for the US Forest Service,
CDF (Cal Fire) and CSFA Fire Service Magazine.
To pay for a divorce in 1995 she started working part time at a local pizza parlor
and shared living space and expects with a friend she'd met while taking pictures of a structure fire.
With his help she got a computer and using the name "Aliket" as an online ID
and created her first photography website.
During the summers she started volunteering, helping her roommate staff a local fire lookout.
In 2000 she also trained and spent several years as a volunteer with the local
Sheriff Department Search & Rescue Team.
In 2002 she return to school obtaining a diploma in Multimedia Graphic Design in 2003.
Unfortinaly shortly thereafter she had a stroke that left her with some nerve damage,
memory and reading problems which forced her into an early retirement.
The next several year was spent adjusting to her new physical and reading limitations.
Then in 2010 after surgery and radiation treatments for breast cancer,
she once again found herself living on her own.
But she continued helping out with the U.S.F.S Fire's local Volunteer Lookout program
until the end of 2020.

Today Alice (Ali for short) lives a rather quite, meditative
and peaceful life in the foothills of the Central Sierras.
Where she spends her time playing around on her computer,
writing, taking digital snapshot pictures, listening to music, watching old movies.
She also enjoys keeping an eye out for beautiful sunsets, comets and falling stars.
A few years ago a good friend dubbed her "AliSkye Mountain Sprout".
A modified yogi name that she adopted to use as a pen name for things she writes or creates.
