Green Acre Ranch is the home for some of the finest California Red Sheep in Northern California.  We began with two ewes named Latte and Mocha, twins born on February 9, 2004. Their mother was Rose, a small California Red Sheep, mated with a handsome California Red Ram named Ram.  They have been able to grow and graze freely in the East Hills of Gilroy, California.  We anticipate offspring lambs in the future. 

We began raising and breeding our miniature donkeys in September 2004.  Evening Star Danny from the Evening Star Ranch in Raymond, CA and Rearview's Sue Ellen from the Benson Ranch in Windsor, CA were our first donkeys.  They were shown at the Northern California Miniature Donkey Show in September 2004 in Red Bluff, CA.  Our Jack, Evening Star Danny was the 2004 1st Place Winner of the Foal Class. Rearview's Sue Ellen was the 2004 3rd Place Winner in the Two Year Old Jennet Class.  Their excellent conformation and easy-going personalities will bless their foals.  

Our little ranch is tucked back in the beautiful East Foothills of Gilroy, CA with a view of the night lights and valley below.  We began rebuilding our ranch in December 2003.  We love the wildlife that includes Deer, Owls, Quail, Hummingbirds, California Condors, Wild Pig, Turkeys, Coyotes, Snakes, Frogs, Salamanders and related.  Everyday is a new experience, with regular and new visitors.  We watch cattle grazing in the adjoining pastures daily and delight in the occassional visit to the pasture fenceline by the Tres Banditos (three neighboring donkey geldings).
