Causes......


I am involved with certain others in Sierra Paths Temple, a mystery school in and for the Sierra Nevada.  The Temple has libraries featuring a variety of alternative philosophies and metaphysical subjects.  We can provide coaching and mentoring on issues of personal development, independence from the influences of cults, including the drug culture.  At times we conduct workshops on personal skills and development, including computer skills.   Watch here for updated information on upcoming workshops.
     The Temple is associated with certain other mystery schools, such as Pathways Institute, and with offshoots of past mystery schools such as the Order of the Golden Dawn: the Hermetic Order of the Morning Star, and the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn.   Within and without these mystery schools I have been involved in a debate about what God is.   Different schools have said different things.

     I have found a number of people into consciousness and energetics hanging out onShirley MacLaine's website, so I often hang out there where I can help those who are asking for it, and continue learning all the while.

I am working with young people, wherever they are, who are standing in solidarity behind the Post Pessimists,a movement of young people in the Balkans with the vision of creating ethnic equality and non-violence in the region in their lifetime.  They are saying NO to the long-established practice of passing rage from one generation to the next.
  Five years ago a number of Kosovar high school students were brought to the United States under the Kosovo Refugee Student Scholarship Project.  The leader of this group had become famous under the name of 'Adona' as a source of e-mail information to Americans during the Kosovo- Serbian war, but her real name is Kujtesa Bejtullahu.  She has this year (2004) graduated from Stanford, and has been active in many youth groups in Kosovo, in America and elsewhere.

I am involved with the Committee for Human Rights, who are concerned with state hospitals and board-and-care homes in the California mental health system who are failing to move those patients/clients who are eligible and able to move to higher up in the system or out of it into independent living, in order just to keep their rooms and beds full and their profits high.  Clients in these facilities are intimidated to believe they cannot function when in fact they can.

Last year my wife Ann Marie was diagnosed with cancer, and we have become involved with alternative cancer therapy at the Oasis of Hope Hospital in Tijuana.  Alternative cancer therapy is not for everyone.  For one thing, they have a completely different theory of what cancer is.  And then, there is the cost - generally American medical insurance does not cover it.  Still, I recommend that anyone diagnosed with cancer, or who has a loved one so diagnosed, check it out to see if it is right for you.

Ever since I heard that Jose Padilla was imprisoned without rights of an accused, as an 'enemy combatant', I have become more and more concerned about the way that international corporations, who owe no allegiance to America or to any other country, have suborned all branches of the government and hold Congress enthralled. Check out Michael Ruppert's book Crossing the Rubicon and other writings.  He tells and documents the truth about 9-11, the CIA's drug running, and the corporations' laundering of drug and insider trading money.  It is these international corporations that are the true enemy combatants.
