KNEEDOWN TWIST

Supta Matsyendrasana

 

Lie on your back with your arms out from your shoulders in a "T" position.

1 - Press your feet away from your hips and the crown of your head away from your shoulders.

Place the sole of your right foot on your left knee.

 

2 - Press your right hipbone toward the left and allow the pressing to rotate your hips and lower your right knee toward the floor. You can, as an option, use your left hand on the right knee.

3 - Press your right wing point downward and look toward your right hand. Keep both shoulders flat.

Stay in the posture. Breathe. Repeat to the opposite side.

- Rotates, aligns and fully extends the spine
- Activates the stomach, stimulating digestion
